Currently, the validation of travel permits are handled by authorized personnel from the Philippine National Police (PNP), Philippine Ports Authority (PPA), and other personnel assigned by the LGU.

In line with the IATF-EID Resolution No. 101, the Department of Transportation and the Philippine Ports Authority has issued a memorandum in May 2021 on the adoption of S-PaSS in all sea ports and bus terminals.

No. An approved TCP or TPP is only valid on the indicated travel date, place of origin and destination. When traveling to another city or municipality, a traveler will need to generate another TPP or apply for another TCP.

The approval of the TCP is within the control of the destination LGU. Some LGUs are working round-the-clock to review pending travel permits and others set their validation time schedule. It is best to coordinate with the destination LGU ahead of time especially if the travel is considered urgent in nature. The LGU contact details are posted on the S-PaSS Contact Us page (s-pass.ph/visitors/contact) to help travelers.

Yes, a traveler can create an S-PaSS account as long as they have a device with internet connectivity and a personal mobile number. A swab test result is needed if the destination LGU requires it before entering their border. Travelers are advised to check first for travel requirements set by their destination LGU in the Travel Policy Table (s-pass.ph) or ‘Are You Travelling’ section of the S-PaSS website (http://s-pass.ph/visitors/are_you_travelling).

Please note that the validity of the RT-PCR test result is usually 72 hours only.

The S-PaSS mobile application intended for travelers is in ongoing development. The S-PaSS Scanner for Authorities currently available in Google Play Store and Apple App Store is only for the use of authorities in validating and authenticating S-PaSS generated travel permits and QR codes.
